I’m Teresa, a certified teacher and nature-based reading coach.
I'm a certified teacher, former homeschool mom, and a big believer that kids learn best when they’re having fun—especially outside. Whether I’m helping a child crack the code of reading or leading outdoor nature enrichment classes under the trees, my goal is always the same: FUN, brain-friendly learning that’s developmentally appropriate and child-centered.
My own journey has included raising three amazing kids (one with severe dyslexia), teaching in public and Christian schools, teaching in homeschool co-op, and yes—getting certified in forest school after falling head-over-heels for nature-based learning.
In addition to being a certified Forest School teacher through the Forest School Teacher Institute, I'm also currently in a 6-month leadership course with the founders and directors of Roots Farm and Forest School. As as lifelong learner, I'm passionate about bringing you and your children the best resources available, so they can fall in love with learning too!

I love creating spaces where kids feel understood, supported, and free.
Along the way, I’ve seen how powerful playful, hands-on learning can be—especially for kids who think differently. I have training in:
🧠
ADHD, dyslexia & neurodiverse learners
🏡
Certified in Forest School teaching
🌳
Outdoor-based learning rooted in play
If you're looking for reading support that doesn’t suck the soul out of your child, or nature classes that spark curiosity and confidence, you’re in the right place.
For Kids Who Learn Differently

Is your child struggling with reading?
I’ve been there, both as a teacher and as a parent. The truth is, most reading programs are either too rigid or too random. Kids need something that’s structured enough to work, but playful enough to love. That’s where I come in.
I offer one-on-one reading support that blends:
✅ Phonics & multisensory games
✅ Personalized plans (no cookie-cutter lessons!)
✅ Warm, encouraging atmosphere

I tailor every session to your child’s unique needs
I use a brain-friendly, play-based reading approach that’s effective for all kinds of learners—including those with dyslexia, ADHD, or autism. I’ve found it works beautifully when paired with patience, personalization, and a good dose of fun.
No cookie-cutter lessons here—I tailor every session to your child’s unique needs, learning style, and energy level.
Your child will:
✅ Build skills and confidence
✅ Have fun while learning
✅ Start to see themselves as a reader.

Get Outside, Get Curious
Stuck inside. Glued to screens. Overscheduled and overstimulated. Sound familiar?
Kids today are spending more time indoors and more time on screens than ever before. And it’s taking a toll. Rising anxiety, attention struggles, social challenges, and even delayed motor skills are all on the rise. But guess what? Nature is one of the most powerful (and fun!) antidotes.
That’s where my nature classes come in.
Whether it’s a summer day camp, a single-day pop-up adventure, a homeschool enrichment class, or an after-school unwind—we head outside to dig, discover, build, splash, climb, and create. No desks. No walls. Kids can’t bounce off the walls when there are none!

What we do:
🪵 Build bug hotels
🎨 Create leaf + mud art
📒 Nature journaling & science
🧠 Boost focus & resilience
Research says nature boosts focus, lowers stress, grows confidence–and perhaps most importantly develops character (which we seem to have a shortage of these days!). I’ve seen it work over and over again. Timid students become more confident. Bossy students learn leadership skills. Whiny kids learn resilience. Unathletic kids learn balance and become stronger.
Yup! My classes are made for:
✅ The wiggly ones
✅ The dreamy ones
✅ The timid and the bold
✅ The neurodivergent, the nature-curious, and everyone in between
